Countries fight war when its “necessary” for “peace” and “freedom” the two dinner table words that can justify anything in existence. I think most of know about the overthrowing of Gaddafi, the bombing of Libya by Ronald Reagan, named Operation El Dorado Canyon. Although a Mossad agent admitted (Mossad has been trying to ban the book) that, in 1984, Mossad planted a radio transmitter in Gaddafi’s compound in Tripoli, Libya which broadcast fake terrorist transmissions recorded by Mossad, in order to frame Gaddafi as a terrorist supporter. Ronald Reagan bombed Libya immediately thereafter. But, that’s for later; the question is, would a government, especially the epitome of western civilisation i.e. the free nation of America, sign off a proposal to bomb its own people to invade a country. No, I’m not talking about conspiracies behind 9/11, but yet again, declassified documents, specifically of 1962 that reveal something rather interesting.
A country can never go to war unless its people want it to, because otherwise they’ll lose the people’s support, there will be mass protests and the government will be overthrown. If you live in India, you know what I’m talking about. The government has to manipulate people into “realising the weight of the issue” so much that the only solution, is war. Although famous more for its “freedom” and movies, America is also covertly infamous for its false flag operations, which baffles me that people still, after knowing all of them, still don’t question the government, I presume Netflix gives us better vibes than looking into how the ‘conspiracy theories’ of the government poisoning alcohol (when it was prohibited) turned out to be true but again, that’s for later. Also, of course, not all “theories” are true, but the ones that did come out to be true, the pattern should be noted for future reference, because then what’s the use of reading history.
The tensions in Cuba were at its peak in 1962. We all know that US did later on invade Cuba but there was a rather peculiar and as the cool kids say, “out of the box” idea signed by the American Joint Chiefs of Staff to quote, “blow up American airplanes” and also to “commit terrorist acts on American soil” to then blame it on the Cubans in order to justify an invasion of Cuba. The plan called for Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) or other operatives to commit genuine acts of terrorism in U.S. cities and elsewhere. These acts of terrorism were to be blamed on Cuba in order to create public support for a war against that nation, which had recently become communist under Fidel Castro. One part of the Operation Northwoods plan was to “develop a Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington.” The document was signed by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lyman Lemnitzer and reportedly presented to Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara on March 13, 1962.

Operation Northwoods proposals included hijackings and bombings followed by the introduction of phony evidence that would implicate the Cuban government. It stated: The desired resultant from the execution of this plan would be to place the United States in the apparent position of suffering defensible grievances from a rash and irresponsible government of Cuba and to develop an international image of a Cuban threat to peace in the Western Hemisphere. In the recommendations section of the “Justification for US Military Intervention in Cuba (TS)” memo, the Joint Chiefs of Staff make clear their willingness to stage actual terrorist events with legitimate casualties to sustain their intentions to “intervene” militarily in Cuba’s affairs. There were many recommended and suggested acts included in the memo, here are a few of them:

- “It is possible to create an incident which will demonstrate convincingly that a Cuban aircraft has attacked and shot down a chartered civil airliner en route from the United States to Jamaica, Guatemala, Panama or Venezuela. The destination would be chosen only to cause the flight plan route to cross Cuba. The passengers could be a group of college students off on a holiday or any grouping of persons with a common interest to support chartering a non-scheduled flight.“
- “We could blow up a US ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba.“
- “We could develop a Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington. The terror campaign could be pointed at refugees seeking haven in the United States. We could sink a boatload of Cubans enroute to Florida (real or simulated). We could foster attempts on lives of Cuban refugees in the United States even to the extent of wounding in instances to be widely publicised. Exploding a few plastic bombs in carefully chosen spots, the arrest of Cuban agents and the release of prepared documents substantiating Cuban involvement, also would be helpful in projecting the idea of an irresponsible government.“
There are tons of such suggestions, these are just three of them. This isn’t a work of fiction, this was a signed memo by the American Joint Chief of Staff (although it was authorized by them, the plan was later rejected by JFK), all these suggestions were made around a round table, to how they can “blow up” American airplanes, and terrorize people to gain support for the invasion of Cuba. In addition to Operation Northwoods, under the Operation Mongoose program the U.S. Department of Defense had a number of similar proposals to be taken against the Cuban regime of Fidel Castro. Twelve of these proposals come from a 2 February 1962 memorandum entitled “Possible Actions to Provoke, Harass or Disrupt Cuba.” The memorandum outlines Operation Bingo, a plan to “create an incident which has the appearance of an attack on U.S. facilities (GMO) in Cuba, thus providing an excuse for use of U.S. military might to overthrow the current government of Cuba.”
It also includes Operation Dirty Trick (I think the name says a lot), a plot to blame Castro if the 1962 Mercury manned space flight carrying John Glenn crashed, saying: “The objective is to provide irrevocable proof that, should the MERCURY manned orbit flight fail, the fault lies with the Communists et al. Cuba.” It continues, “This to be accomplished by manufacturing various pieces of evidence which would prove electronic interference on the part of the Cubans.”
If anything, two main points are to be understood here, first, although “this is America” (pun intended) what are the chances that only America does this, not to induce paranoia, but skepticism. We see it all the time in India at least, the boasting of military power, the stimulating of emotional responses through the mainstream media to gain support for attacks. The reason why America is important, aside form its technological advances, is that the governments have always followed the American way, so what’s the chance that they followed this way too. Have they or have they not; what remains is the recognition of such pattern in your own government, because when they have a plan, there’s just a plan, and we’re just “logs” and “collateral damage.”
